First time for workshop on arts journalism
40 students and teachers from the Institute of Journalism at Belarusian State University got the chance to study arts journalism for two days in December 2009. Swedish journalist and writer Jens-Christian Brandt delivered a comprehensive overview of the basics of arts journalism and its status in Sweden, and Europe. It turned out that the idea of arts journalism in Belarus differs quite a bit from how it is practiced in Sweden. The workshop will be followed up with a one week training program in Sweden in March 2010.
Journalist specialized in music, theatre, design or fine arts? Architecture or TV critic? Many Belarusian journalist students dream about specializing in different spheres of culture.
